Kris Lamont, CFP®, AAMS®

Wealth Advisor

Kris Lamont, CFP®, AAMS® is committed to helping individuals and families pursue long-term financial success.  He specializes in comprehensive financial planning, retirement income strategies, and succession planning, working primarily with high-net-worth clients who are nearing or already enjoying retirement.

Kris is licensed to offer securities, insurance, and financial planning services in multiple states.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.  The CFP® marks recognize individuals who have met the CFP Board’s rigorous education, examination, experience, and ethical requirements.  He also holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation through the College for Financial Planning.

Kris understands that most clients share several core financial concerns, including:

  • Saving adequately for retirement
  • Ensuring their assets last throughout retirement
  • Coordinating estate planning
  • Preparing for long-term care needs
  • Funding education expenses

His planning process reflects each client’s stage of life—whether purchasing a first home, funding a child’s education, or preparing for retirement.  Every plan must align with the client’s personal or business circumstances and incorporate financial strategies that fit those needs.

“Being able to confidently determine when you can retire,” Kris notes, “and having the freedom to choose the retirement lifestyle you want is my focus.”  He emphasizes that achieving this confidence requires a clear, well-constructed plan.

Kris grew up in Clear Lake, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in Finance and Marketing. He and his wife, Emily, have two sons. He has been active in several community organizations and volunteers his time coaching baseball, basketball, and two soccer teams. Kris currently serves on the boards of the Venetian Village Canal Association and Charlie Brown Preschool & Childcare. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family, reading, traveling, golfing, fly fishing, photography, and cheering on the Hawkeyes.
